How we make money

A finance blog should be upfront about its own finances. Here’s exactly how PlavaFin makes money — and the rules we hold ourselves to so this blog stays worth your trust.

Two ways, in priority order

1. PlavaFin subscriptions. Our main business is the PlavaFin app — a subscription that organizes your personal, rental, and business money automatically. That’s what this blog ultimately hopes you’ll try. It’s funded by the people who use it, which is exactly why we don’t run third-party ads and never sell your data.

2. Affiliate commissions. Some links in our articles — to credit cards, and later mortgages or deals — may earn us a commission if you apply and are approved, at no extra cost to you. It’s a way to keep the blog free and support the work behind it.

Our rules (editorial independence)

  • Commissions never change our picks. We don’t rank by who pays the most. If a better option pays us nothing, it still wins — and we’ll say so.
  • We recommend what we’d actually use. Written from real experience, not a spreadsheet of payouts.
  • Clear disclosure. Any article with affiliate links says so at the top, near the links — not buried in a footer.
  • Real authorship. Articles carry a real byline (that’s Naresh, our founder), not an anonymous “editorial team.”

What we never do

  • No third-party display ads.
  • We never sell or share your data — see our security page.
  • No pay-for-placement. Money can’t buy a better review or a higher spot.

Everything here is general information, not financial, tax, or legal advice. Card and rate terms change often — always confirm current details with the provider before applying.
